Team play: forming teams and team scoring
Students are split evenly into 2 to 8 teams. A team's score is the average score of the members who answered, so it's fair whether a team is big or small.

Steps
- When you create the game, under “Format” choose “Team play”, then choose the “Number of teams” (2 to 8, 4 by default).
- In the lobby, each student who joins is placed in the team with the fewest members. Teams are named “Team 1”, “Team 2”… and each has its own color.
- To move a student to another team, drag their name card to another team's column, or click the name and choose the team to move them to. That student's phone shows that they've been moved.
- Click “Reshuffle” to rearrange everyone. Team sizes differ by no more than 1.
- During the game, the screen shows how many members of each team have answered, then the “Team leaderboard” after each question. At the end there's a podium for the teams and a “Top players” section.
Options and limits
- Team score
- The average score of the team members who answered at least one question. Students who haven't answered any question don't pull the team score down.
- Team ranking
- With “Speed” scoring, the team with the higher average score ranks higher. With “Accuracy” scoring, the team with more correct answers on average ranks higher.
- Students' phones
- Show “You’re on Team …” in the lobby and the team's rank after each question.
- You can only move students between teams in the lobby, before you click “Start”.
