Share an exam with a link or QR code and let people take it without an account

Each exam has its own exam link and QR code. You can copy the link, show the QR code, change the link if it leaks, and decide whether people without an account can take the exam.

Steps

  1. In “Exams”, click “Share” on the exam card to open the “Share exam” box. To see everything, click “Open full sharing page”. After publishing from the exam builder, you're also taken to this page.
  2. Click “Copy” to get the exam link, then send it to your students.
  3. Click “View as student” to see the page your students will see.
  4. QR code: click “Download QR image” to save the image, or “Present” to enlarge it on a projector.
  5. If the link has leaked: click “Change link code” and confirm. The old link and QR code stop working immediately.
  6. To let people without an account take the exam: turn on “Allow people without an account to take the exam (guests)”, ideally also turn on “Require guests to enter their full name”, then click “Save settings”.
