Choose how to create an exam
The “Create exam” page groups the ways to create an exam into three groups. Pick based on what you have: starting from scratch, an existing Word/Excel/PDF file, or a question bank to draw questions from.

Steps
- Go to “Exams” → “Create exam” (or click “Create new” in the left sidebar).
- Group “1. Write directly or use question banks”: “Write step by step” (labeled “Popular”) opens the 4-step exam builder. The “From question bank” card (button “Draw from a question bank”) opens the “Exam blueprints” page, where Bút Nghiên draws random questions from your bank and creates a draft exam for you to review. To pick questions one by one, use the “Add from question bank” button while writing an exam.
- Group “2. Import documents and advanced editing”: “Import from Word (.docx)”, “Import from Excel (.xlsx)” and “Advanced editor” (type the exam as text with a live preview alongside).
- Group “3. Controlled automation”: “Import from PDF” (only PDFs with selectable text) and “Create from exam blueprint” (draws questions from a bank by proportion).
- To reuse questions from a question bank, set up an exam blueprint (see the Exam blueprints guide).
- There's no AI option for creating exams. Scanned PDFs or image-only PDFs can't be imported.
- If you start from a class page (the “Create test” button), the top of the page shows “Creating for class: …” and the new exam is linked to that class.
